After the hustle and bustle of the season, I find myself going into this weird funk. Our home felt like it was going to burst at the seams with all the stuff we had accumulated. The last couple weeks I’ve been on major purge mode to help get things feeling peaceful once more. Plus it doesn’t hurt to be more organized! This simple project is all about making life easier when it comes to rearranging the home. And all it takes is breathing a little imagination into something you might already have kicking around!
MATERIALS
- Baking rack
- Drill
- Eye hooks
- Anchors
- Hammer
- Measuring Tape
- Level
Step 1
Start by measuring your cooling rack to see how it will best fit the wall. You can hang it any orientation you desire.
Step 2
Measure the wall to find the center where the rack is going to hang based on the length of the rack. Create pencil marks as a reference.
Step 3
Use a level to double check the marks before drilling any holes in your wall to allow your rack to hang perfectly straight. Adjust accordingly.
Step 4
Pre-drill two holes for your hooks.
Step 5
Gently hammer the anchors into the pre-drilled holes.
Step 6
Twist your eye hooks into the wall in whichever direction they need to be in order to hook onto your rack.
Step 7
Hang your rack onto the hooks securely.
Step 8
Voila! A grid organizer. Simply use s-hooks to hang scissors, twine or whatever you desire.
No more searching needlessly for those hard-to-find items. Yay for being more organized!
